The hotel's breakfast area was being remodeled a bit when we visited, but taking that in to consideration, the lobby was adequate for checking in and grabbing something to eat in the morning. The receptionist was dressed very casually (which is pretty typical of a lower end hotel). She greeted us and treated us respectfully, yet casually, as though we were buddies hanging out. After filling out the paperwork for our vehicle, she said to just leave it on the counter? We felt that wasnt appropriate because of the information it was asking for. My husband waited for her to return (not long) to give her the paperwork. Going to our room, I noticed the hotel was a little dated and appeared a bit dirty, though I didn't "see" dirt. Maybe just the age of the building? Our room was, again, typical. Flat king bed, standard overfluffy, lumpy pillows. The window was cracked open (it was 30 degrees outside) and though I tried to shut it, I could not. My husband was able to slam it closed. Though we set the heater at 68, it seemed much cooler. We both took a shower and the shower, again, was lower end. I did notice small dirt stains on the shower curtain and bedspread, and the bathroom floors corners needed to be swept. Microwave, TV and safe all worked well. We slept comfortably. In the morning the breakfast area was busy, but we did not visit it. The shuttle to the airport was on time and driver was friendly. All in all, this was an expected experience with a lower priced hotel. Why I gave 3 stars was for the price for staying overnight, shuttle to airport, and overnight stay.
