The O Brien offers a free hot breakfast which many higher-priced properties do not and if you get a balcony room you can eat it watching the sun rise behind Hemisfair Tower which is a sight you can only see in San Antonio. The hotel is also perfect for attendees of the Convention Center. Just 4 blocks away. The Alamodome for mayor sports and concerts events is 6 blocks away. The heart of Downton is the Alamo Plaza where the State of Texas was born and it is 5 blocks away. Mayor attractions of Downtown are within walking distance and you do not need a car. Rooms have a refrigerator and microwave which would make it perfect for an extended stay or if you wanted to keep leftovers from the many excellent restaurants nearby and heat them up later. It is the perfect location for families of the military attending graduation ceremonies or visiting troops of the many military bases and hospitals in San Antonio. The hotel is also very close to all court houses and federal buildings in Downtown San Antonio. Parking rates are easily half that of higher-priced hotels but much more convenient for in-and-out.
