The recently renovated DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh-Brownstone-University is the only full-service Hilton Worldwide property in Downtown Raleigh and we are also the only hotel within walking distance of NC State University, Pullen park and Cameron Village. We are located just three short blocks from the Shops of Cameron Village where you can find nearly anything you would need including 80+ upscale boutique-style shops, twenty restaurants and necessities like two grocery stores, a pharmacy and even a large library. Walking in the opposite direction, you can go four short blocks and reach the recently renovated Pullen Park which is Raleigh's oldest park and includes 66 acres with picnic areas, concessions, a large indoor aquatic center, pond with , several rides including a train that circles the park and a large playground. Right next door to the hotel is the fantastic new Downtown Alexander YMCA which our guests have the ability to use in addition to our on-site fitness center. Walking west on Hillsborough street it's just two blocks and you are to the edge of NC State University's beautiful campus and all the shops and restaurants directly across the street. If you chose to walk east down Hillsborough street for roughly .75 mile you would run right into Glenwood Avenue and the Glenwood South nightlife area that includes many of the most popular bars and restaurants in the city. The State Capital itself is just 1.25 miles east of our hotel on Hillsborough Street and the Raleigh Convention Center is the same distance away on South Salisbury street. Downtown Raleigh also features three large museums: History and Sports, Natural Sciences and the Exploris Kids Museum each of which are roughly 1.5 miles from the hotel.
